About the Role
Mantra Mental Health Counseling is seeking a clinical therapist to provide in-person services at our Newton Centre location, as well as via telehealth. This is a fee-for-service, full-time (22-25 client sessions/week) position. We are currently looking to hire a therapist with experience working with adolescents and adults, who has worked directly with clients with eating disorders and/or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and who is able to offer client sessions at least two evenings (i.e. 4-7pm) per week.
Full-time clinicians receive Paid Time Off (PTO), paid supervision with an LMHC, monthly health + wellness stipend and an annual continuing education stipend.
About the Practice
Mantra Mental Health Counseling is a small, Massachusetts-based outpatient psychotherapy practice providing telehealth and in-person services in Newton, MA. Our clinicians see clients ages 14+, and our specialty areas include disordered eating, body image issues, anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, and trauma. We are passionate about providing strengths-based, weight-neutral, person-centered care, practicing acceptance and self-compassion, supporting identity development, and exploring the factors influencing each individual’s self-esteem.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs on-site and/or telehealth clinical counseling services to clients of Mantra Mental Health Counseling in accordance with practice policies
- Plans and administers therapeutic treatment using evidenced-based approaches appropriate to each individual client and diagnosis
- Collaborates with a patient’s treatment team (i.e. PCP, prescriber, dietitian, school, etc.) as necessary
- Maintains accurate notes and documentation including but not limited to treatment plans, assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries; completes all documentation in a timely manner as outlined in company Operations Manual
- Responds to client emails, texts and phone calls within 48 business hours
- Attends and participates in required trainings and staff meetings
- Attends clinical supervision as scheduled with clinical supervisor
- Abides by HIPAA and all laws, rules, regulations, and code of ethics relevant to their degree and/or licensing board
Therapist Requirements
- Minimum of a master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field
- Minimum of 1+ year post-master’s clinical experience
- Willingness to offer client sessions at least two evenings per week
- Experience working with eating disorders/disordered eating and/or obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)
- Experience working with adolescent clients
- Strong relationship-building capabilities utilizing a strengths-based, person-centered approach
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize needs
- Willingness to stay updated on new treatments, protocols, and licensure requirements within the field
Therapist Preferred Qualifications
- Meet all necessary state licensure (i.e. LICSW, LMHC, PsyD, PhD) requirements, and have an active, unrestricted Massachusetts license
- Experience treating trauma (particularly using Cognitive Processing Therapy [CPT]), or perinatal mental health disorders (PMADs)
- Clinical experience working in an outpatient setting
